Main Characters

Grey with golden flecked eyes, like gold coins lost amongst the river stones in a cool, clear stream, Logan is shy, preferring to merge in with the background. Thrown back in time all he has is a note to go on and some unreal memories. Pushing him to the brink with the group crumbling around him, Logan wonders if he’ll every make it back home.

Logan

His eyes of dark brown crinkle as he smiles, smoothing tempers and keeping an eye on the younger ones. He’s adopted Logan as his best friend, encouraging him in his faltering attempts to lead their group. Corry’s world is turned upside down after being attacked, leaving him with a sense of a lost time and place, that leaves him guilty.

Corry

His light brown eyes hide a knowledge of history that the entire group use to rely on but as the places they end up in become more extreme his ability to help dwindle. Frustrated at being stuck back in time, he tries to lead the group but when confronted with a direct attack he flees.

Glen

Piercing cobalt blue eyes contrast to his relaxed demeanour, he tries to stand with Logan through the fights and trails thrown their way. But after a drastic act to save Logan, he starts to question it all and how Logan is part of their ever increasingly desperate trips into the past.

Roy

His loud voice and red hair make Marcus stand out, causing friction with Logan and the group. But he stands and fights with Logan when they are hunted down, even being injured in the attack. He is relentless in his push to get home, no matter the cost, to his life or others.

Marcus

Duncan’s onyx brown eyes stare vacantly at the horizon as he dreams up another theory that might explain how they got here and how to get home. The group is finally starting to listen to him but it still doesn’t change their stubborn belief that travelling back to New Zealand will get them home but it’s impossibly worked in the past so it’s hard to argue that it won’t work again, if only they could remember.

Duncan

His weary teal eyes carry the large responsibility of being the group’s cook and doctor, taking after his grandmother in many ways. He is torn when they have to leave her behind in the middle of nowhere but his hopes of rescuing her are soon dashed.

Struan

The dark phone screen in his hands reflects his cool brown eyes, the battery dead. The world around him is ever changing, so this trip back in time is nothing new. Rutendo sees it as an adventure but does hope to make it back home someday, the lack of anything modern starting to become boring.

Rutendo

Preferring the company of animals instead of people, he becomes the one who looks after their camels. His blue eyes with stark white streaks, take wonder at the unforgiving world they find themselves in but there are still those he can save, those who can’t save themselves.

Noah

He places another branch on the fire, the flames catching it alight, reflected in his amber eyes. Nobody argues when he makes himself in charge of all the cooking fires. But his ability to keep the flames burning when there is no fuel to be found becomes frustrating, the new fuel coming from an unexpected source.

Haden

His brown eyes glare at the sand avoiding contact with Logan. It has been ages since the betrayal but it still hurts. He could understand why it had happened, even if he could think of a million other ways it could have gone down. One day he would go back, one day he would correct what had gone wrong.

Joe

He lifts the crossbow to his golden brown eye, letting the arrow fly at the dead tree in the distance. They will need to find food out here, trading all their gear away for food won’t work forever. If only everything wasn’t so skittish around here, even creeping around doesn’t work! He sighs as he pulls the string back, another arrow ready to fly.

Zac

His green speckled eyes lift to search out Logan. He can’t explain why but Logan is the key to surviving back here and he makes sure he’s never too far from him in case he’s separated like last time. But the confusing part is why Logan won’t lead the group like last time.

Rylee

He is a smaller members of the group but tries to make up for it with funny comments, which can annoy them at times. His attempts to make real friends are not as successful as he’d hoped, so he tries to be useful. His hazel eyes with a ripple of orange streaks, ever watching for opportunities. At least when Corry’s around there is someone to keep an eye on him like a big brother would.
