Minor Characters

An older man with grey curly hair and faded brown eyes, he spends his day in the African Sword Palace gardens. The arrival of a strange group of boys causes concern but he sees no malice in them. Until one day what he feared might happen comes true and his world comes crashing down.

Kade

Hard brown eyes under short brown hair, glare from within his hood. He pushes his faded robe to the side as he walks, pondering the way life has turned out. His family broken, his trading business under threat all because of some mere children. Especially the one of them that has a sword of light, a sword that could turn all his fortunes around.

Desert Trader

He watches the fight from under the shade of the tree, a welcome distraction from his many troubles as king of an empire. One that is under threat, that threatens his family and way of life. If the fighter wasn’t so young, he’d make a good captain in his army.

Mai Kure Ghana es-Saghir

Short black hair and eyes watch Logan wearily. As the lead trainer at the African Sword Palace, it’s his job to train this group of misfits. But some of beyond help, their ideas getting in the way of becoming great swordsmen. He’d never wanted to train them, they were dangerous and spelled trouble but Kade had insisted. No matter how he argued that this was not part of their mission, the one handed down for generations, Kade just smiled and ignored his pleas.

Dala

The group was desperate and young, too young to be crossing this harsh desert by themselves. He’d felt pity for them even if he couldn’t understand what they were saying. It was a wonder they’d made it this far but it looked like their luck was running out as another group of traders came looking for them.
